Question to Muslims about the Crucifixion?

Why would you take the word of an ordinary Arab named Muhammad who lived 600 years after Jesus and lived in a different country, different language, was illiterate, and only mentions 40 words (Surah 4:157) which say that he was not crucified? Why would you believe this over the numerous first-hand accounts on the Crucifixion which were written less than a half a century of Jesus Christ's Crucifixion? What credibility does Muhammad have to convince you with only 1 Surah that Jesus did not die on a cross, and deny the fundamentals of the entire Christian faith?
