Can i use the small propane tanks alone to refill my mags (HFC m190) or will i need some silicant as well?

because im not clear on exactly where i can even purchase one, with an adapter tip, uming that i may not come with one when purchasing these tanks, can some one help me, over what to do and where is the most affordable and reliable for that matter?
