Why are so many women obsessed with being skinny?

The media makes them believe that being skinny is attractive. Beauty is subjective; most women aren't attracted to other women and don't know what makes them beautiful. This is why they often turn to the media for answers. They see pictures of hideous, flat-chested, 6'4" women with giant feet; these women are also known for having the same eating disorders they give to envious women. They ume they looked like the model that wears only pea feathers and traffic cones, and strives to unnaturally thin and wishes she was taller.
