Music gone bad?

why is it that the songs that get famous are the most ridiculous (Um buh rellaaa) and the singers who get most famous (as far as pop culture) usually lack talent (fergie). seriously. is this what american culture has come to?. Are artists like fergie...(and come on be real...she has zero musical capacity.)..only famous because they dance half naked and live scandalous lives?. does anyone else find this ridiculous?
