What would Lodovico from Othello have worn?

Hey, I have to play Lodovico from the play Othello by William Shakespeare in my English cl. If I wanted to go the historical route, what should I wear? What would Lodovico have worn in those days? Judge his personality, his Italian heritage, his reputation and wealth, his tastes, etc. I'm thinking I should take the humor route and wear what a modern guido would wear, a v-neck, a puma jacket, sungles, a guido hairstyle, tight pants, etc but if I wanted to look like the real Lodovico, how would I approach the dressing?
